The Wayne County Board of Elections is in need of poll workers for the upcoming August 8th special election. According to the board of elections’ operations manager, since there is only one issue on the ballot, the pace of election day will be slower than usual, making it a good time for new poll workers to gain some experience. Poll workers need to be at least 17 years old, a Wayne County resident and attend a three-hour training class. Anyone interested should contact the board of elections as soon as possible.
