The 13-seed Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the 5-seed Iowa Hawkeyes in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday by a final score of 73-69.

For Ohio State (15-18, 5-15 Big Ten), freshman guard Bruce Thornton scored a team-high 17 points and dished out six assists, while freshman forward Brice Sensabaugh scored 16 points and grabbed four rebounds. Senior forward Justice Sueing scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds, while senior guard Sean McNeil scored 13 points with three three-pointers off the bench.

For Iowa (19-13, 11-9 Big Ten), senior forward Filip Rebraca led all scorers with 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Also, junior forward Kris Murray scored 17 points with six rebounds and five assists, while junior guard Tony Perkins scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.

The 13-seed Buckeyes will next take on the 4-seed Michigan State Spartans on Friday, March 10th, with tip-off set for 25 minutes after the conclusion of 1-seed Purdue and 9-seed Rutgers, which tips-off at 12 p.m. ET.
