At its most recent meeting, the Wooster City School Board of Education discussed a social media post about the districts upcoming levy on the ballot. The post suggested that the school should put off having the levy on the ballot until 2024. However, school board members stated that doing so would be financially unsustainable for the district. The board also said that if they waited until 2024 the levy request would have to balloon to 19.5 mills or make budget reductions of $12 million. The levy on the ballot in March will be a 6.5 mills levy for operating expenses.
