Authorities in Wayne County continue to investigate a string of fatal crashes that occurred last week.  A total of four people were killed last week in four separate crashes, all between Tuesday and Friday.  The first crash took place on Christmas Eve and claimed the life of an 87-year woman, while the second accident happened Thursday afternoon in Wooster when a 76-year old woman out walking her dog was struck and killed near the intersection of Melrose and Wildwood drives.  The other two fatalities happened on Friday.  The first, a two-vehicle accident in Franklin Township, claimed the life of a 69-year old Wooster woman.  Friday’s second crash occurred on U.S. Route 30, in East Union Township.  There, a 41-year old Canton man was killed when his vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a culvert.
