Coinciding with a 26% increase statewide, there was a rise in the number of new coronavirus cases in both Wayne and Holmes counties last week. Wayne County reported 50 cases and one death last week, after reporting 32 cases and zero deaths the week before. In Holmes County, there were eight COVID cases last week, up from three the previous week, with no fatalities reported in either one of the weeks.
