Marty Starkey, longtime director of the Wayne County Convention and Visitors Bureau, is set to retire after nearly three decades on the job. Hired in 1994, Starkey says her final day was supposed to be last Friday, but with no replacement hired yet she’ll be hanging around for at least a little while longer, with November dedicated to training her eventual successor.
