The executive director of the Stark-Tusc-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District has announced that he’ll be resigning from the position before being rehired two months later.  The district’s board of directors has voted to accept the resignation of David Held, effective June 1.  The board will then offer him the same job on Aug. 1 at his current salary.  Held, who has been executive director since 2004, told the board that he decided to resign to optimize his financial situation.  By resigning, he’ll become eligible for retirement benefits, while the mandatory 60-day break in service is required to avoid any forfeitures or penalties.
