On the same day that they announced a name change of “Guardians” in 2022, the Indians would allow 6 runs in the 9th and fall to the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night by a score of 10 to 5. It was the Tribe’s 10th consecutive loss to the Rays dating back to 2019. The game was tied at 4 going into the 9th, but the bullpen once again imploded.
