Eight men have tested positive for the coronavirus at Medina County Jail, about two weeks after 12 women at the jail tested positive.  They are now working closely with the County Health Department to control the outbreak inmates coming into the jail are tested for COVID-19. The eight men were placed in quarantine and being kept away from the general population. Of the nine total inmates who have tested positive, only two are showing symptoms. .It is unknown how the inmates caught the virus.  The sheriff’s office has made some changes to protocols with the recent outbreak.
